[solid copy, bound in green cloth with paste-on front cover illustration (especially nice with only light rubbing), slight bumping/wear at all corners, small faded spots at extremities of spine cloth, one-time owner's initials in pencil at top of ffep; jacket is worn, with small tears and a bit of paper loss at all corners (but no loss of text or illustration)]. (frontispiece + 3 B&W plates) Book no. 23 in the popular series -- "books that charm the hearts of the little ones, and of which they will never tire." I am by no means a specialist on these books, but this would appear to be a 1931 printing of the book itself, although since its own title is the last in the series list on the copyright page, it may have been issued prior to the 1931 B.T. entry ("The B.T. Wonderful Secret"); note, however, that the list on the front jacket flap DOES include "Wonderful Secret." The rear jacket flap lists 12 titles in the "Honey Bunch" series, through "Her First Trip in an Airplane" (also 1931), and several of the series lists in the various ads in the back of the book also include 1931 titles. The rear jacket panel has cut-out dolls of Flossie and Freddie, fully intact.
