[moderately shelfworn, spine slightly turned, rear hinge a little weak, longish gift inscription (dated 1930) on ffep; jacket edgeworn, shallow chip at top of front panel, a bit of paper loss at spine extremities]. (cartoon drawings) Vintage N.Y. Yiddish dialect humor (enhanced by the author's typically whimsical illustrations), featuring more escapades of the Feitlebaum family -- Momma and Poppa, Nize Baby, and Looy (shockingly misspelled as "Looey" in the dust jacket blurb). "The dialogue ('East Side as she is spoke!') has a lot of new tongue twisters that will keep the whole family in spasms of laughter." Ezz mozt ee-fek-tif when izz ret out loudt. [NOTE that this is a Grosset & Dunlap (reissue) dust jacket, although the book itself is a first edition.]
