The Book Man (Our Patron Saint) says:
Vita sine libris mors est.
("Life without books is death.")
Welcome to ReadInk (pronounced like "Dead Ink"), now in our 19th year of putting interesting books into the hands of interested people. We offer an eclectic selection of quality books and periodicals in a variety of subject areas, and are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (hopefully, you). All orders and inquiries receive courteous, personal attention. We grade our books conservatively, package them securely, and get them in the mail to you promptly -- all because we want to add you to our ever-growing list of satisfied customers.
We hope you'll take a minute to peruse the All About ReadInk page (link at bottom), which explains our commitment to book availability, quality service and packaging,
etc. Just like a real bookstore, we want you to feel welcome from the
moment you step in the door, and to go away happy (even if you don't

IMPORTANT WORDS ABOUT A NEW CALIFORNIA LAW
THAT WILL AFFECT BOOKSELLERS AND BOOK COLLECTORS
(and here's a little bit of old news, temporarily moved here to the bottom of the page, but soon to go away entirely....)
ReadInk is pleased to announce
an Unexpected and Unprecedented Event, namely:
The issuance of our first
many of you know, I've generally taken a somewhat old-fashioned stance
with regard to issuing catalogs, i.e. by insisting that I would only do
so on paper.
(Because I like book catalogs for the same reason I like books: because you can hold them in your hands.)
for reasons explained a little more fully on the first page of the
e-catalog itself, I decided to break with my own tradition
by cobbling together a few dozen books from my recent book-fair inventory (most of which are now making their first online appearances)
into this online-only catalog, which can be viewed or dowloaded via this link:
E-Catalog the First
One thing to keep in mind is that there are no direct links from the catalog as posted (a PDF) to the actual book listings on this site --
simply means that if you see something you want to buy, you'll just
have to return to the home page and use the Search function to find it,
and thence place your order.
Alternately, if you just want to go
straight to the online listings (although that's a less attractive way
to look at them than in the catalog proper),
you can just go to the "Browse by Subject" page and click on the link labeled "E-Catalog 3.1."
At any rate, I hope you enjoy your browse through the catalog, and if you want to be on the mailing list
for my next "real" (on paper) catalog, just shoot me an email to that effect.
ReadInk is also a proud member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) and the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA), and as such adheres to the Code of Ethics of both organizations, which can be seen by clicking the appropriate links:
