INSCRIBED generically ("Best Wishes") and SIGNED by the author on the ffep. The doctor's first novel, about a pair of med school classmates who find themselves, years later, on opposite sides in a bitter malpractice case --one as a surgeon, the other as a medical lawyer. The author practiced in Encino and Beverly Hills, was medical adviser to a couple of TV shows, and for this book drew on "his professional experiences both in the United Stattes and under Sweden's socialized medicine system."
