[New York] Hale, Cushman & Flint (c.1941) First Edition Hardcover Very Good in Good dj Illustrated by (dj L. Robert Perrin 
[a little fraying and minor deterioration to cloth along top edges, light shelfwear and slight bumping to bottom edge; jacket is edgeworn, with various small tears and nicks, spine a bit faded]. "This is the story of women, Amber in particular, who have to make that sometimes most difficult choice between marriage and a successful career." Novel set during the 1910s, with the action split between "Pleasantville" (Amber's hometown) and New York (specifically Greenwich Village), where our heroine and her circle of friends "were caught up in [the] rising tide of feminine assertion." The author was a prolific writer of scripts for soap operas and other radio programs during the 1940s and 1950s.
