1 Charters, James (Jimmie the Barman); as told to Morrill Cody This Must Be the Place: Memoirs of Jimmie the Barman (James Charters)
New York Lee Furman, Inc. (c.1937) 1st Edition (see note) Hardcover Very Good+
(no dust jacket) [clean, solid copy, minor wear at corners and spine ends]. (B&W photographs) Memoirs of the famous Montparnasse saloonkeeper, host to numerous expatriate writers (Hemingway and his crowd). This is actually the first U.S. edition, the book having been originally published in England in 1934; I have seen reference to this as a "revised" edition, but have no definitive source to verify this. Introduction by Ernest Hemingway.
