Philadelphia The Westminster Press (c.1953) NO First Edition Hardcover Near Fine in Very Good+ dj Illustrated by (dj design) Nathan Berman 
(price-clipped) [nice clean copy, attractive vintage bookplate on front pastedown, bottom front corner lightly bumped; jacket mildly edgeworn, a few small tears, some sunning along spine]. Novel set in the Wyoming Territory in 1886, and revolving around a full-blooded Araphoe Indian who had been adopted and raised by a U.S. Army officer and his wife after his father had been killed in a fight with another tribe, and his mother had left to get help but had never returned. Now a grown man (and an ordained minister!), he is reunited with his mother, and takes up residence on the Araphoe reservation.
