INSCRIBED "To ________ - / who has been my / mentor, friend, confidant and / safe port in my many storms. This book / is for you with affection and admiration," and SIGNED by the author on the reverse of the ffep (facing the half-title page). The author at age 27 "had two bouncy sons but no job and no money when her husband decided to marry her best friend," but went on to establish "a new, healthily sunny outlook and a busy, satisfying life." Seems like she was pretty well-connected, too, with the book boasting jacket blurbs from Judy Blume, Eleanor Perry and Adela Rogers St. Johns. Signed by Author
