(price-clipped) [slightly dust-soiled on top edge, otherwise a very nice copy with minimal shelfwear; jacket shows only light surface wear, would also rate Near Fine but for the price-clipping]. (B&W photographs) SIGNED on the ffep by both the author and Jon Eddy (illegitimate son of Nelson), who wrote the book's introduction. Detailed chronicle of the romantic singing duo's on- and off-screen romance, the latter purportedly "revealed here for the first time." Well, not exactly. The writer of this tome co-authored an earlier treatment of the same subject away back in 1976, entitled "Farewell to Dreams," an exceedingly strange (and now very hard-to-find) work that read like a romance novel, cross-pollinated with soft-core porn in the Jacqueline Susann vein -- including some steamy and rather explicit accounts of sexual encounters between the golden pair. I haven't taken the time to plow through the nearly 500 pages of the present volume to see if this approach has been maintained. Signed by All Authors
