Beyond the Horizon; a play in three acts New York Boni and Liveright (c.1920) 1st Edition (see note) Hardcover Fair (no dust jacket) [worn copy, darkening/soiling to covers and spine, ditto page edges, front corners bumped/cracked, ffep torn out with consequent weakening/splitting to front hinge, rear hinge also split a little more than halfway up from bottom of book]. The first of the author's plays to be presented on Broadway, and his first major success. [I believe this to be the "B" (or second state) binding: although it has the 9/16" tall capital letters in the front cover title (the only point specified by McBride), it does NOT have the "larger upper case letters in publisher's imprint at foot of spine" cited by another seller as requisite for the first state ("A") binding.] Price: 12.50 USD
