Plain Murder New York Dell First Edition 30 (c.1954) First ed. thus Softcover Very Good- Illustrated by (cover) Bill George [moderate edgewear, small creases in front cover, heavy wear along spine exterior, binding still good]. Mass Market PB "Not a reprint" (sez the front cover)--"An original novel, not a reprint" (sez the back cover) -- all lies, I'm afraid. It was, rather, the first American edition of Forester's second crime novel, originally published in England in 1930. In a brief note at the end of the book, the publishers disingenuously state their hope that this, the author's "first original American softcover edition [ahem] lives up to [our] best intentions for the First Editions line." At the very least, a truth-in-labeling transgression. Price: 4.50 USD
