The Book Man (Our Patron Saint) says: Vita sine libris mors est. ("Life without books is death.")
Welcome to ReadInk (pronounced like "Dead Ink"), now in our 15th year of putting interesting books into the hands of interested people. We offer an eclectic selection of quality books and periodicals in a variety of subject areas, and are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (hopefully, you). All orders and inquiries receive courteous, personal attention. We grade our books conservatively, package them securely, and get them in the mail to you promptly -- all because we want to add you to our ever-growing list of satisfied customers.
We hope you'll take a minute to peruse the All About ReadInk page (link at bottom), which explains our commitment to book availability, quality service and packaging,
etc. Just like a real bookstore, we want you to feel welcome from the
moment you step in the door, and to go away happy (even if you don't
buy anything).
ReadInk is also a proud member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) and the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA), and as such adheres to the Code of Ethics of both organizations, which can be seen by clicking the appropriate links:

NOW AVAILABLE!
CATALOG NUMBER 3
For longer than I care to admit, people have been asking me: "So, are you going to do another book catalog?" (Or, less politely: "When the hell are you going to put out another book catalog?") (Or, even less politely, and even closer to home: "Are you ever going to finish another book catalog?") Well, OK, OK ... OK! You can all stop asking now, because it's DONE, and it looks like this:

These are going out to my regular mailing list during the last week of December. If you would like to have a copy sent to you, the time to speak up is now....before I run out. (If you'd like to receive it as a PDF .... you're out of luck. Read on.)
I have a little thing going here that I somewhat pretentiously call the ReadInk Catalog Philosophy, which goes like this: Although the books in my catalogs will always be available on-line, the
catalogs themselves will continue to be issued in printed form only. No PDF downloads or e-mailed versions; don't even ask. I dabbled a bit with
that kind of distribution on Catalog #1, but eventually decided that that
whole idea just seemed kind of wrong. For better or worse, in face of the proliferation of Kindles and Nooks and downloadable books
and iPhone novels and all that other e-stuff, I remain in thrall to the printed book – and so I really like the idea of a sales tool that is itself a
printed thing that you can hold in your hands. So the "ReadInk Catalog
Experience," so to speak, will continue to happen only on paper. (At
least as long as they go on making paper.)
So if you would like to have that Experience, just drop
me an e-mail with your address. The books from Catalog Number 3 itself will be featured online exclusively at this website from now until about mid-February 2012. Use the "Catalog Number 3" link in the left-hand column to access those listings. Also, for book-catalog-lovers, may I point out the Our Past Catalogs link, through which you can obtain (if you're a "collect them all!" kinda person) copies of my first two catalogs: #1, "Objects of Obscure Desire," and #2, "Skirts, in Jackets."
