(no dust jacket) [a bit of shelfwear to bottom edge, bumped at base of spine, slight bumping/fraying to bottom front corner, spine cloth lightly sun-browned]. Melodramatic/romantic drama about a disillusioned American author who gets mixed up in a proletarian revolution while traveling in South America. The play, with a not-too-subtle anti-fascist message, has been cited as marking Hecht's turn away from his more comedic earlier plays to address more serious political concerns.
