[good solid copy, with a bit of wear at spine ends and bottom corners, mild browning to fore-edge; the jacket spine is quite browned with some paper loss at both ends and a tiny pull-tear/hole about one-quarter way from the top near rear hinge, otherwise just mildly worn/soiled, with a couple of closed tears at edges of rear panel, but the front and rear panels substantially complete and quite attractive]. Quite a decent copy of the author's ninth novel, the first of his books to achieve a popular success. Scarce in dust jacket.
