Trade PB Despite now being somewhat dated, this is an excellent biographical reference for personal/family data on approximately 1,000 actors and actresses. Filmographic credits are so selective as to almost be worthless, but the book is invaluable for its comprehensive chronicling of birth data (real names, places, dates), marriages (and divorces), children (including step-children), and even friends and "romances." There is an extensive cross-referencing index, and a section entitled "Studio Hierarchies," which lists the executives of all the major Hollywood studios through the years. (The latter is especially interesting for its details about who served on the Boards of Directors of the studios -- for instance, did you know that the Chairman of the Board of 20th Century-Fox Film Corp. for a couple of years in the early 1940s was none other than one-time Presidential candidate Wendell L. Wilkie?)
