[a very nice copy, absolutely no wear at all to the book; jacket shows just a trace of surface handling wear]. Historical semi-fiction about a soldier in the Continental Army during the American Revolution, one William Robertson. The author, Robertson's great-granddaughter, while doing genealogical research to confirm a family relationship to Patrick Henry, instead "discovered a lesser-known hero [Robertson] in an unmarked grave, and slowly peeled back the layers of time to unveil him. The story combines fact, family stories, and flights of fancy to present a historically accurate evocation of the time surrounding America's turbulent birth." (I dunno -- "flights of fancy" are not generally all that conducive to historical accuracy.)
