[a little edgewear to covers and corners, diagonal creases at bottom right corner of front cover and top left corner of rear cover]. (Pocket Archives) Series Trade PB (B&W photographs) Pocket-sized photo album of New York life and scenes in the 1930s, prefaced by a 40-page essay by Fuller, who had been a newspaper reporter and illustrator in the city before decamping to Hollywood. A lovely little book, even though it's a bit deceptive to present it as "by Samuel Fuller," since there's no evidence or indication that Fuller made any contribution to the selection or captioning of the photographs.
