[lovely as-new book, with no discernible wear]. Trade PB (B&W photographs) INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the title page; the inscription is to legendary M-G-M makeup artist William Tuttle, and expresses the author's gratitude for his contributions to the book. (There are nine index references to Tuttle, whose work with Garson dated back to the 1940s. He had devised the effects that allowed her to "age" from 18 to 84 in MRS. PARKINGTON (1944), and did her makeup for her very last acting role, in a 1982 episode of "The Love Boat.") The only full-length biography, I believe, of the one-time Queen of M-G-M, who over the course of her career was nominated seven times for an Academy Award, but took home just a single statuette, for (of course) MRS. MINIVER.
