[good solid copy, binding tight and firm, light stain at top of spine, mild edgewear to covers, a little schmutz on the rear cover]. Mass Market PB SIGNED by the author on the title page. As business representative for IATSE (the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) for 35 years (1933-1968), Aller was an important figure in Hollywood labor circles, and was in the thick of the battle to take back control of the union from Chicago mobsters Willie Bioff and George Browne (the book's title refers to the pair, both of whom were eventually ousted from the union and sent to prison, in 1943). According to Variety's obituary of Aller, "he never hesitated to do battle for what he thought was right [and] was one of the laborites who fought to get IA back into the hands of laborites, away from the Browne-Bioff axis." The book itself, a paperback original, is uncommon -- and since Aller died the same year it was published, I doubt there are many signed copies floating around. Signed by Author
