[nice clean book, essentially as-new with slight bumping to base of spine]. Trade PB (B&W and color photographs) Production history and detailed episode guide to the popular World War II series, which ran on ABC for five seasons (1962-1967) -- almost two years longer than America was involved in the war itself. (Actually, since the series began on D-Day and dealt exclusively with the European war, the show's 152 episodes all took place within a historical timespan of about about ten months -- and the squad never even made it to Berlin! (They did, however, make it from black-and-white to color, for the final season -- an aesthetic choice that seemed wrong to me, even as a child.) The Foreword is by Rick Jason, who co-starred as Lt. Gil Hanley alongside the ill-fated Vic Morrow as Sgt. Chip Saunders.
